With the price of oil becoming increasingly unstable, over the past few years electric alternatives are becoming more popular. With electricity being a more stable form of energy and the price of the electric furnaces being quite reasonable, in most applications it is the perfect alternative.
note: In most cases a domestic Hot water tank needs to be installed along with an electric furnace to handle domestic hot water demands.
